To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the New York Freedom of Information Law, I hereby request the following records:

1. Records, including agency emails and policies, regarding the MTA painting over tiles at subway stations such as Union Square IRT, documented in this tweet: https://twitter.com/discovering_NYC/status/1060607533688242182. These records should be sufficient to show how the agency made the decision to paint over the tiles.

2. Records sufficient to show the number of MTA subway stations where tiles have been, or will be, painted over in 2018

3. Copies of all complaints received by the MTA regarding painting over subway tiles from 1 January 2018 to the date this request is processed

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 5 business days, as the statute requires.

Sincerely,

Camille Fassett
