Pursuant to the New York State Freedom of Information Law (1977 N.Y. Laws ch. 933), I hereby request the following records:
Any and all records that reflect or memorialize changes in agency policies or procedures in response to the Joint Commission on Public Ethics's Advisory Opinion No. 16-02, which held, in part, that "Public Officers Law ยง74 applies to statewide elected officials and members of the legislature in the conduct of their campaign activities. Specifically, an elected official running for election may not directly solicit or accept monetary or in-kind campaign contributions from any person or entity which is the active subject of an ongoing exercise of enforcement powers of the elected official or the office of the official." The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
