To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the New York State Freedom of Information Law (1977 N.Y. Laws ch. 933), I hereby request the following records:

Phone records indicating the phone numbers called by General Counsel Paul Agresta, from any phone for which the cost of use is borne by a New York State government agency, from January 1, 2017 through the date this request is processed.

I recognize that phone calls involving family members, doctors, and other purely private matters unrelated to one’s governmental functions are not subject to the Freedom of Information Law, but am seeking the remainder of the records that do relate to government business

Please be advised that the New York Governor's Office recently fulfilled a similar request for the Albany Times Union, related to the agency's top lawyer (http://www.timesunion.com/local/article/Records-detail-contacts-between-ethics-agency-11737016.php).

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 5 business days, as the statute requires.
