Pursuant to the New York State Freedom of Information Law (1977 N.Y. Laws ch. 933), I hereby request the following records:
A log of all FOIL requests made in fiscal year 2013.
I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.
In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 5 business days, as the statute requires.

RE: FOIL Request
Dear Mr. Conor Skelding
This letter is to acknowledge that, on or about April 28, 2014 this office received your Freedom of Information Law (FOIL) request and to advise you that this office requires an additional twenty (20) business days to respond to your request.
Please be advised that as with any FOIL request, this office is only obligated to grant access to those documents or records which are kept by the New York State Liquor Authority, subject to certain exemptions. Further, this office is not obligated to grant access to documents or records that are not kept within the New York State Liquor Authority or that do not exist. In addition, FOIL does not require this office to create documents in response to a FOIL request.
Pursuant to the provision of Public Officers Law § 89 (3), we should be able to provide you with a further response in approximately twenty business days, which is May 26th, 2014.

Connor, I believe I have already addressed this back in May. Call me to discuss if you would like.
Our Public Affairs Bureau maintains our received as well as sent FOIL requests digitally. In times past and before I processed our FOIL requests, we maintained a FOIL log, however, in the spirit of FOIL- we save all correspondence to and from presently and answer those requests in a timely fashion.
