Pursuant to the New York State Freedom of Information Law (1977 N.Y. Laws ch. 933), I hereby request the following records:

-Documents and communications, including all-staff emails, pertaining to the decision to name Sorenson Forensics as one of only two preferred forensic DNA labs to participate in the $38 million grant program to help eliminate the rape kit backlog. -Contracts between the New York District Attorney (DANY) and Sorenson Forensics

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
