To Whom It May Concern:
Pursuant to the New York Freedom of Information Law, I hereby request the following records:
All references to the Seattle-based tech company Amazon within emails, memos, notes, and presentations pertaining to New York City's L train, from 06/01/2017 to the date this request is processed.
In November of 2018, Amazon announced it will be opening an additional office in Long Island City, Queens. (https://www.wsj.com/articles/amazon-chooses-new-york-city-and-northern-virginia-for-additional-headquarters-1542075336)
On January 3 of this year, Governor Cuomo announced a change of plans to the L train's originally scheduled tunnel repairs. (https://www.nytimes.com/2019/01/03/nyregion/l-train-shutdown.html)
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
I am a member of the press, and therefore request all fees be waived. In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request be filled electronically, by email attachment if available, or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter.
I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 5 business days, as the statute requires.
Sincerely,
Erik Franco & Ankita Rao
