Dear Secretary Lopez:
Pursuant to the Section 1.23 of the rules and regulations of the Waterfront Commission of New York Harbor ("Access to records"), I hereby request the following:
• Any record of the WCNYH that refers to or mentions the name of Frank Cali, full name Frank Paul Cali, with aliases "Francesco" and "Franky Boy." Cali had date of birth March 26, 1965 and is known to be deceased as of March 2019 (proof of death is attached); and/or
• Any record of the WCNYH that refers to or mentions Bontel U.S.A. Corp, an importer that rented space near the Red Hook Terminal (at 75 Hamilton Avenue). Said company likely used the Terminal for cargo and/or parking space. Cali was a disclosed principal of this company.
Under the Federal Freedom of Information Act and Privacy Act, as well as NYS Freedom of Information Law, privacy concerns are mooted upon death, and I trust that WCNYH follows the same practice.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter.
I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 business days.
Sincerely,
T. McElwee
