Pursuant to the Rhode Island Access to Public Records Act ("APRA"), I hereby request the following records:
All arrest records, including narrative, for the past 24 hours from the time this request is received.
I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.
In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 business days, as the statute requires.

Dear Sir, we are experiencing serious internet problems and cannot count on
internet service for any further requests. I am occupying the internet at
a different location to send this message. So, Please send further
requests to Police Chief, P.O. Box 307, Block Island, RI 02807. With
respect to your previous request, I did mail it to the address you provided.
Is it my understanding that you now have a different address and that that
mail did not get to you? As you understand I have no secretary and am very
busy with police work, so I would prefer to only have to mail information
once.

We received the dispatch log as requested on May 7, but have yet to receive the arrest records we requested at the beginning of June. Please indicate whether this request is still being processed by your staff?

The internet is down all the time here so requests for records can be sent to the New Shoreham Police Dept PO BX 307 BIRI 02807 and will be handled by mail. There will be a fee involved. As stated do not rely upon the internet, it happens to be working here today so I will get the records together and mail them.

My Chief of Police passed this email , with this numerical address on to me
. I've been trying to get an operable email to contact you. If this
reaches you, please give me a call at 401 466-3210. I'm the Town Manager
for Block Island and I, along with my IT consultant, have spent a
substantial amount of time training and warning my employees not to open
emails they don't recognize or emails like the one above that lead with
numerals and not a recognizable individual or agency. Chief Carlone has
said he is more than willing to produce information if you would send a fax
or send a request by mail, or come in person.
If you go back several years when this type of survey was done, someone came
in person to the Police station and we received excellent comments as to
compliance. Just today we received another malware warning that was passed
on to all my department heads so I don't believe the request is
unreasonable.
We can also discuss a better email address at the same time.

While this request has yet to be fulfilled, as the APRA audit has been completed (see http://www.accessri.org/foi-audits.html) I hereby withdraw this request.
