- All communications between members of this office and employees or representatives of the American Legislative Exchange Council.
- All communications containing the keywords "ALEC" or "American Legislative Exchange Council".
- Any files or documents attached to the above communications.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 15 business days, as the statute requires.

Today I received your letter; I need to ask for clarification. I have no
record of receiving the May 8th letter, were you the requester? Also is
this a request addressed to the Office of the New Mexico Attorney General
or a copy of a request sent to another office?
If it is addressed to the OAG, could provide a date range and as much
information as possible. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I

Hello Mr. Russell,
I am indeed the requestor. Thanks for getting back to me, sorry that our email got lost. I've narrowed the request for other attorneys general by this point, so I'll go ahead and narrow it for you as well.
- A keyword search of the email records of the attorney general and his/her immediate assistants for the terms ALEC and American Legislative Exchange Council.
- An office wide search for electronic communications with the domain @alec.org and with any known representatives of ALEC.
- The date range 2010 to the present is sufficient.
