From: Todd Feathers

To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the New Hampshire Right to Know Law, I hereby request the following records:

1) Copies of all contracts entered into by the New Hampshire State Police since Jan. 1, 2012 for social media monitoring tools, such as those that allow the department to track posts on social media by individual, topic, geographic area, or other parameter.

2) Copies of any guides or user manuals for social media monitoring tools in the department's possession.

I ask that all fees be waived as I am a journalist and intend to use the requested records to publish articles in the public interest and not for any commercial purpose.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 5 business days, as the statute requires.

Sincerely,

Good Morning Mr. Feathers,

I am in receipt of your right to know request and I have forwarded your request to Ms. Amber Latuch, who is the individual within our agency who facilitates the postings for the New Hampshire State Police Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram Pages. I do not anticipate that being able to provide you with a complete response regarding the items that you identified should take more than 30 days, so I will be sure to respond back to you within that time-frame.

If you have any additional questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me directly at any time.

All the best,

Major Marasco

Mr. Marasco,

Thank you for the help. I just wanted to clarify that I'm not looking for tools/policies regarding the monitoring of employee or department social media accounts, but tools such as Geofeedia that allow for the mass monitoring of accounts.

Todd
