To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the New Hampshire "Access to Government Records and Meetings" Statute (RSA Ch. 91-A), I hereby request the following records:

Requests, emails , or other written communication to the Department of Homeland Security for the purpose of having Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers (FLETC) programs held in their own jurisdictions. The names of all officers in your department who have received training from Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers between 1/1/12 and the date this request was processed. In case your department does not keep such a list, I would like a copy of any forms or applications submitted by officers for training with or expenses related to Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers between 1/1/12 and the date this request is processed.

The following is a list of FLETC courses I would like searched for:
-Active Shooter Threat Training Program
-Advanced Instruction for Marksmanship

-Continuing Legal Education Training Program-Uniformed Police
-Covert Electronic Tracking Program
-Internet Investigations Training Program
-Introduction to Digital Evidence Analysis

If the forms, applications, or requests do not specify which courses are going to be attended than just include any FLETC courses.

As a member of the news media working for MuckRock News I request that a fee waiver for my request be granted. My work has been published by national outlets. My work for Motherboard can be viewed at the following link: http://motherboard.vice.com/author/cwaltman

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 5 business days, as the statute requires.

Good Morning,

I am writing this e-mail in response to a "Right to Know Request" that was received regarding training provided to the NH State Police by FLETC, or through the FLETC Website. I assigned Sergeant James Lagace, a supervisor within the NH State Police Recruitment and Training Unit, the task of researching whether or not FLETC-related training resources have been utilize by our organization, both from a training and investigative perspective, as these areas were highlighted within your initial e-mail. The following language was included within Sergeant Lagace's response to me, following the research that he conducted:

"The specific areas of the request I'm addressing are the use of the website by either the Training or Investigative Unit's. The Training Unit has never utilized the FLETC website. The administrative Sergeant of the Investigative Unit has also indicated to me that he was unaware of any circumstances where the FLETC website was used by Major Crime."

It does not appear that we have any information that would support the requested information that you are seeking at this time.

All the best,

Lt. Marasco
