From: Alec Shea

I am requesting DOC documents provided to newly incarcerated prisoners. In most systems, prisoners are given an "orientation packet" or inmate manual. I would like to request any such manuals that contain information on use of and purchase procedures for MP3 players

From: Lind, Jennifer

There is no "orientation packet" for this process other than our Policies, Procedures and Directives (PPD's).

The general process is:

1. Resident to complete an order form for Access Corrections;

2. Resident to complete a "Cash/Withdrawal Slip" that is forwarded in a stamped addressed envelope to the unit manager/warden for approval;

3. Upon approval, Cash/Withdrawal Slip and stamped addressed envelope is sent to Inmate Accounts for processing with yellow copy of withdrawal slip returned to resident as a receipt;

4. Cost of order is applied/withdrawn against the inmate's account;

5. Check is processed by Inmate Accounts for product requested;

6. Check and order form sent to Access Corrections for processing;
