To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the Nevada Public Records Act, I hereby request the following records:

- All reports of wildlife releases without prior NDoW authorization, or escape, in 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 to date, including location, type of animal and disposition of the case, as required by NRS 504.245;
- Records detailing costs incurred by the Department to capture, maintain and dispose of the wildlife and for any damage caused by the wildlife;
- Records detailing reimbursement of those costs by the owners or possessors of the escaped wildlife.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes. This request falls within the purpose of the Nevada Public Records Act, whose purpose is to "further the democratic ideal of an accountable government by ensuring that public records are broadly accessible" (NPRA Overview, Bhalla, 2018).

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I eagerly await your reply.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

Sincerely,

Trina Kleist

Dear Deputy Director Robb,
Thank you again for your previous communication.
After reviewing our communications in more detail, I would like to ask for any information regarding the first of my three original information requests. That is, "All reports of wildlife releases without prior NDoW authorization, or escape, in 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 to date, including location, type of animal and disposition of the case."
I understand that no costs were incurred as a result of any possible capture of released or escaped wildlife.
Thank you again for your time.
Sincerely,
Trina Kleist
