To Whom It May Concern:
Pursuant to Tennessee's Public Records Act, I hereby request the following records:

This includes, but is not limited to, policies on the use of restroom and locker room facilities. Please limit this request to documents that were generated over the past two years as well as documents, such as policies, that are in effect now.

Any and all records, reports or documents regarding Tennessee Code Ann. 7-51-1802, (http://search.mleesmith.com/tca/07-51-1802.html) that inform school policies regarding gender identity and expression. These reports should include, but are not limited to, student sexual health education.
Finally, I request any and all memos, letters, policies and guidelines sent to parents that outline policies regarding transgender students. This includes, but is not limited to, the use of restroom and locker room facilities.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 7 business days, as the statute requires.
Dr. Maritza Gonzalez forwarded your request for records regarding policies and procedures for anti-bullying and non-discrimination of LGBT students in Metro Nashville Public Schools. The Tennessee Public Records Act requires open access of all public records to citizens of the State of Tennessee. You do not appear to be a Tennessee resident, therefore are not entitled to records under the public records act. Unfortunately, we do not have the resources to process requests for information from agencies or individuals who are not residents. You may find some of the information you are requesting in the policies section of our website, www.mnps.org<http://www.mnps.org>.
If you have questions regarding this response, please call or email me and I will be happy to discuss.
