Comptroller Report on University of Tennessee's Sex Week

To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the Tennessee Public Records Act, I hereby request the following records:

1. Any document(s) sufficient to show the budget for, costs of, and/or number of hours worked on the research, investigation, preparation, or production of the "Special Report: Sex Week at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville," available at https://comptroller.tn.gov/content/dam/cot/orea/documents/orea-reports-2019/SexWeek_FullReport.pdf.

2. Any document(s) consisting of or reflecting any communication with any person not employed by the Tennessee Comptroller of the Treasury, sent or received before February 20, 2019, concerning Sex Week or the Comptroller's Special Report.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes. This request is made by a staff member of a nonprofit organization, the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education, seeking to advance the public interest in protecting freedom of expression and First Amendment rights in higher education. This request solicits information concerning a matter of public concern, as the report at issue was generated at the request of the leadership of the state legislature and concerns a student event that has been the subject of controversy.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
