“In all situations where an arrest and subsequent arraignment of a person or persons in Nantucket County requires a post-arraignment detention for future Court proceedings, the Nantucket Sheriff’s Office arranges for transport of such person or persons off-Island and arranges for the pre-trial detention to take place at the Barnstable County Correctional Facility in Bourne, MA. Should the Court subsequently impose a term of Incarceration, the Nantucket defendant will serve the Sentence at BCCF as well. Accordingly, the Nantucket Sheriff’s Office does not maintain any policies, procedures or training records regarding Nantucket Sheriff’s Office cooperation the U.S. Office of Immigrations, Customs and Enforcement.”
