Any and all documents and internal correspondence relating to the Executive Order titled "Protecting the Nation from Foreign Terrorist Entry into the United States" and subsequent associated protests at SFO.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 calendar days, as the statute requires.

Dear Mr. O'Doherty:

The Department of California Highway Patrol (Department) is in receipt of your California Public Records Act (CPRA request, dated January 29, 2017. The Department received your request on February 1, 2017. Please accept this notification of the Department's determination regarding your CPRA request.

In your request, you asked for copies of the following records:

Any and all documents and internal correspondence relating to the Executive Order titled "Protecting the Nation from Foreign Terrorist Entry into the United States" and subsequent associated protests at San Francisco International Airport

The Department has determined that your request, in part, seeks copies of disclosable public records in the Department's possession. In response to your CPRA request, the Department has compiled a 20-page set of records including two logs and one email. These records are attached to this letter.

To the extent that any other responsive records exist, they are being withheld by the Department on the following legal bases:

· Government Code section 6254, subdivision (c)

· Government Code section 6254, subdivision (f)

· Government Code section 6254, subdivision (k), which incorporates the individual's right to privacy under the California Constitution (Cal. Const., art. I, § 1) and the Information Practices Act (Civ. Code, § 1798 et seq.)

Attorney Kieutien Do, in the Department's Office of Legal Affairs, is responsible for the legal determination to withhold certain records from public disclosure.
