To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to Virginia Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:

I request documentation of all cases brought to court involving Special Conservators of the Peace (SCOPs). These may include but not be limited to:

-Cases where an SCOP was involved in the apprehension or arrest of a defendant or suspect
-Cases where an SCOP was implicated or accused of committing a crime (felony, misdemeanor, or infraction).

Please limit responses to those cases filed between 2012 and the date this request is processed.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 5 business days, as the statute requires.

Sincerely,

Carly Sitrin

To Whom It May Concern:

I wanted to follow up on the following Freedom of Information request, copied below, and originally submitted on Aug. 4, 2015. Please let me know when I can expect to receive a response, or if further clarification is needed.

Thank you for your help.

From:

I am not aware of any means to search our Case Management System for that type of information as it is not captured in any data field, and thus not searchable.   I believe that the Records Department of the Danville Police Department would be the most likely source of the information sought here.   The Commonwealth's Attorney for the City of Danville may be another source of information, but I would think Police Records would be the most comprehensive.
