Pursuant to Virginia Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:

I request documentation of all cases brought to court involving Special Conservators of the Peace (SCOPs). These may include but not be limited to:

-Cases where an SCOP was involved in the apprehension or arrest of a defendant or suspect
-Cases where an SCOP was implicated or accused of committing a crime (felony, misdemeanor, or infraction).

Please limit responses to those cases filed between 2012 and the date this request is processed.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 5 business days, as the statute requires.

Ms. Sitrin,
I apologize for the delayed response.  After making multiple inquiries, I am sorry to say that the Circuit Court Clerk's Office does not keep records that indicate cases/charges in which a Special Conservator of the Peace has been involved, or have a way in which to search for this information.
I have, however, attached copies of the 2 Orders appointing Special Conservators of the Peace for our locality for the date range you indicated, and hope you will find these to be helpful.
Fees have been waived.
