Dear Mr. Wass:

Attached is the acknowledgment letter of your request, signed by Stephanie Blaney, FOIA Officer. No hard copy to follow. If you are unable to open the document, please let us know by return email (FOIA.Resource@nrc.gov<mailto:FOIA.Resource@nrc.gov>) or call 301-415-5616.

Also, you may find a voluminous amount of records that are already publicly available on our website at https://www.nrc.gov/site-help/search.html?site=allSites&searchtext=reed+college&searchmode=anyword.

We would appreciate you contacting us for clarification by no later than Tuesday, January 12, 2021; otherwise, we would take your silence to mean that the records you've located on the website satisfied your request, and therefore, we will administratively close our files on your request.

Any documents, investigation findings, memorandums, or communications that mention the Reed Research Reactor Program at Reed College located at 3203 SE Woodstock Blvd, Portland, OR 97202 between the years of 2005 and 2020. I am specifically looking for records relating to security and operations investigations conducted by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission during this timeframe. I believe many of the files I am looking for would be contained in the records of one of the Oregon Nuclear Regulatory Commission offices.

I appreciate you including links to the extensive documents already publicly available on the Nuclear Regulatory Commissions website.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes and is submitted by a member of the news media.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.
