Pursuant to the Public Officer Law (POL) Article 6 § 87, I hereby request the following records:

All records in possession of the NY State Police, in all covered subject matter areas, that are submitted by, transmitted to, or that directly concern Charles J. Hynes (born 1935) who served various roles in the NYS Unified Court System, Office of Attorney General of NY, Fire Department of New York and Office of Kings County District Attorney and the between 1969 and 2014.

The time period for records is approximately January 1, 1969 to January 30, 2019. Mr. Hynes was also known as "Joe Hynes" and "Charlie Joe Hynes."

Protections for Mr. Hynes himself viz. POL Article 6 §89 have expired as Mr. Hynes has been widely reported deceased in Florida on January 30, 2019 (see attached obituary from the NY Times).

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
