Pursuant to the Maine Freedom of Access Act ("FOAA"), I hereby request the following records:

A log of public records requests submitted to the Governor's office that lists the date of request, the requester's name, the requester's organizational affiliation, a description of the request and the date the request was filled. Ideally I would like this information for the period from 2004 to the present.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, and is made in the process of academic research and not for commercial usage.

In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you for your letter dated March 17, 2015 in which you request certain documents under 1 M.R.S.A. ยง 408-A, Maine's Freedom of Access Act ("FOAA"). This email constitutes official acknowledgement and response to your request.

You request of the Office of the Governor a log of public record requests submitted to the Office of the Governor.

We will begin working on your request and will withhold any records that are not subject to FOAA, including but not limited to personnel matters, other confidential matters, and documents unrelated to the transaction of state business. Your request will be processed in the ordinary course of business. Our non-binding time estimate for the production of the requested documents is April 3, 2015. We charge $15.00 per hour of staff time necessary to respond to your request beyond the first hour as permitted by law. If you would like the electronic copies of the documents mailed, we will require payment of the actual cost of mailing only but the electronic documents contained on CD will be free of charge pursuant to FOAA law.
