Pursuant to the California's Sunshine Amendment (Cal. Const. Art. I, § 3(b)), I hereby request the following records:
A log of public records requests submitted to the Attorney General's office that lists the date of request, the requester's name, the requester's organizational affiliation, a description of the request and whether or not the request was ultimately fulfilled. Ideally I would like this information for the period from 2004 to the present.
I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of academic research and not for commercial usage.
In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 calendar days, as the statute requires.

Good Afternoon Mr. Peterson,
This is in response to your PRA request submitted and received on March 2, 2015 by the California Department of Justice/Attorney General's Office (DOJ), in which you sought records pursuant to the Public Records Act (PRA) as set forth in Government Code section 6250 et seq.
Specifically, your request is stated as follows:
“A log of public records requests submitted to the Attorney General's office that lists the date of request, the requester's name, the requester's organizational affiliation, a description of the request and whether or not the request was ultimately fulfilled. Ideally I would like this information for the period from 2004 to the present.”
We do not have a single log for all the PRA requests received during the entire period of time you seek. In late 2006, we started maintaining logs and, over time, used different formats. We are in the process of copying the logs that we have located onto a CD. We anticipate mailing out the CD to you next week at the address you provided.
