RE: Public Records Requests Received April 9, 2020; Further Information; Fees;  Estimate of Time for Further Response.

Sent By Email To: requests@muckrock.com

Hello George Johnston c/o MuckRockNews

This email is to confirm receipt of the public records request received via email to the Public Disclosure Commission on April 9, 2020 in which you seek the following: (see italicized language below)

“Pursuant to the Washington Public Records Act, I hereby request the following records:
All documents and records pertaining to the postal complaint filed against Glen Morgan in October 2018 about the controversial mailers that were sent to voters in Thurston County and the four contested state legislative districts from coastal Washington to Spokane.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.”

This email discusses processing information and fees and provides an estimate of time for further response.

Further Information Regarding Format; Fees

In your request with regard to the format you describe, “ I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not:” We will be providing responsive records in their native format as they exist in our system. There may be some instances where some records may need to be converted to Adobe Acrobat PDF for ease of delivery.

To the extent we are able to provide records via email attachment we will attempt to do so.  However if an installment of responsive records are too large of a file size to email we will provide you a link to a website where you can retrieve the records. There are no fees associated with these delivery methods

Estimate of Time for Further Response

We are searching our records to determine the location, nature, and amount of records, that may be responsive to your request.  If responsive records are found, I estimate I can make available an installment of records on or before Friday, April 24, 2020.  If records are ready prior to that time, I will notify you.   If this time assessment requires adjustment, I will also advise you of that.

Sincerely,
