This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request the following records:

Any materials between 2008 and 2015, (the past 7 years) or before, pertaining to Martin Peck (coderman@gmail.com or coder@peertech.org), Janus Wireless, Janus Privacy, Janus VM, XeroBank, DEF CON conference, Peertech.org website, the Tor Project, or any individuals involved with the Tor Project, including Andrew Lewman, Roger Dingledine, Nick Mathewson, and Jacob Appelbaum (who also may be known as “Jacob Applebaum” or “Jake Appelbaum/Applebaum.”) If you find responsive but non-releasable information, please cite the exemptions and amount and type of exempted materials.

I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.

In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

The United States Marshals Service (USMS) is in receipt of your Freedom of Information/Privacy Act request for records maintained by this Agency.
Reference is made to your above-captioned request.

With respect to records regarding you, in order for the United States Marshals Service to address your request, it is necessary for you to provide the following prerequisite element(s) as indicated:

Verification of identity. You may establish your identity by completing the enclosed Certification of Identity Form, DOJ-361, or by furnishing your identifying data and signature by declaration under penalty of perjury. See 28 U.S.C. 1746.

We are unable to determine the records you seek in you’re the balance of your request, and thus, are unable to direct your request for an adequate search. For your information, the USMS maintains files on individuals for whom federal warrants have been issued; records on prisoners in custody of the USMS; records related to threats to and the protection of government witnesses, U.S. Attorneys and their assistants, federal jurists, and other court officials; records on process served and executed in federal court proceedings; and records on seized and forfeited property and evidence. It also maintains records pertaining to the administration of the Service, including official personnel files for its employees. In order for the USMS conduct a search for records, you must clarify your request.
