I am not requesting copies of your pre- 1900 vital records and burials. I am just requesting a copy of your list of the books. notebooks, etc. in your vault which contain them., e.g., "Vol. __, Oxford Births, Marriages, and Deaths, 1847-1908." Such administrative records created by your office creates are subject to FOIA.
Thank You,
Linda MacLachlan

Your office sent such a list titled “Original Town Records Survey, Pre-1820” to the Connecticut State Library’s History and Genealogy Section a century ago. Though I would prefer an update, I will accept that.
Thank You,
Linda MacLachlan

Linda
I am not sure who sent this to the Connecticut State Library but I have
looked through my records and I do not have a copy of this, nor do I have
an updated copy.

I am writing a book about all the unique records that genealogist can find in the vaults of Connecticut Town Clerks. In Oxford’s case I seek verification of the continued existence of a book which was called “Vol. 1” in the 1925 Arnold copy of your vital records. This book contains Oxford marriage records 1820 through1848 in its first 101 pages. Do you have such a book? What do you call it?
Thank you,
Linda MacLachlan
