Pursuant to the Maryland Public Information Act, I hereby request the following records:

On October 15, 2019, it was reported that a student obtained access to a database containing information about Montgomery County Public Schools students: https://www.washingtonpost.com/local/education/maryland-student-breaches-computer-security-and-steals-data-of-nearly-1350-teens/2019/10/15/e401e3c6-ef5d-11e9-b648-76bcf86eb67e_story.html

I'm seeking a copy of the district's full contract with Naviance, the vendor associated with the database that was breached.

I am a member of the news media making this request in the interest of newsgathering for the podcast Underunderstood. I'm willing to pay up to $100 in fees.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 calendar days, as the statute requires.

Good morning. We have sent you responses to all of your requests, as listed below:

December 2, 2019: We sent a 10-day letter with a partial response to FY20-102, 103, 104 as attached. We assessed a fee for emails, but have not received payment.
December 16, 2019: We sent the final response to FY20-120-103, 104, as attached.
December 20, 2019: After receiving your December 20 email saying you had not received our December 16 email, we re-sent again on December 20 and asked for a confirmation that you received it.
January 23, 2020: You responded (see email thread below) and confirmed receipt of the December 20 email and the attached response.

We have provided you will all your responses, with the exception of the emails, for which we assessed a fee, and the request is closed.
