This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request the following records:

I am requesting documents relating to investigation O-MA-13-0391-HL-S, "Possible Misappropriation/Sale of a Vanguard Satellite." I am requesting any and all correspondence sent within the office of the inspector general regarding this investigation, as well as any correspondence sent between the office of the inspector general and people at the KnoxVegas Law Firm (including any email addresses ending in @knoxvegaslaw.com).

I am also requesting documents relating to the ownership claim of the Vanguard satellite, as well as any documents or reports sent by the NASA History Program Office at NASA Headquarters regarding the value and historical relevance of the satellite. Finally, I am requesting the documents sent to the Office of Chief of Staff, NASA Headquarters, regarding the ownership of the satellite.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes. These documents will be used in the course of reporting a story for Motherboard, VICE's science and technology news website.

In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. If fees cannot be waived, I ask that the request be processed under the "media" fee category. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.
