The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.

From: Alexander Rony

Dear Mr. Wiercioch,

In your acknowledgment letter to my FOIA request (#ATFY17-083), you stated in part, "to speed up this process, you may wish to reformulate or narrow the scope of your request to limit the number of potentially responsive records." I am interested in records of communication pertaining to the following companies: Access Industries, AT&T, Bayer, Cadiz Inc., ChemChina, Comcast, Dow Chemical, DuPont, Monsanto, Syngenta, and West Valley Water District.

These companies would reflect former lobbying clients for Mr. Delrahim and several companies currently pursuing mergers. His stances on issues pertaining to them while previously working at the Justice Department would be important information as he is currently nominated to lead the Antitrust Division. As such, I am requesting a public interest fee waiver.

Please let me know if this list of companies would still represent a lengthy search and review process. I am willing to adjust my search terms in a way that is convenient for your office.

Alexander Rony

To whom it may concern,

I am following up on Freedom of Information Act Request ATFY17-073. On September 25, 2017, I proposed amendments that would narrow the scope of the request, hopefully enabling a speedier response from your agency. I have yet to receive confirmation from your agency if those amendments were received and if they adequately reduce the scope of the search and review process. I am willing to discuss this matter further to make this request easier for your agency to fulfill.

Thank you,
Alexander
