To Whom It May Concern:

This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request the following records:

A list of each department that applied for a COPS Hiring Program grant between 2009-2015 and whether they were considered in the Large (more than 150,000 population served) or Small (less than 150,000 population served) category when evaluated for the grant. This is similar to the applicant rankings lists already posted on the COPS website, but I would like to know the category each department was evaluated under which is not currently available in the applicant rankings information that is provided on the COPS website.

Also, I request a list of the departments that received COPS hiring program grants based on Priority Crime awards, rather than their total ranked score, in FY 2011.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.

Sincerely,

Erik Peterson
