Ms. Lipton,

We have searched our records and could not find any responsive information.

In your January 2015 request, you provided this link “https://www.cca.com/facilities/houston-processing-center”. This facility is not a City of Houston facility.

If this was an error, and you are referring to another City of Houston facility, please provide some other identifying information e.g. a physical address or the purpose of the facility.

Thank you,

The City of Houston Legal Department

From: Beryl Lipton

Hi there!

Thank you very much for your message. Though the contract itself may be maintained with another agency, it is not uncommon for the jurisdiction within which the facility is located to also be party to IGSAs with the contracting agencies, to be responsible for utility provision, or to partake of inmate labor. I would be interested in all of those materials, even if the City of Houston does not contract for inmate detainment.

Thanks again for your request for clarification. I appreciate your work on this and all of my requests.

Have a great afternoon,
Beryl
