To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the California Public Records Act, I hereby request the following records:

The final 50 emails sent from the email accounts Gov. Jerry Brown uses to conduct government business, which should include both his official and personal accounts. These emails have been released in the past, as documented by the Sacramento Bee article at the following link. https://www.sacbee.com/news/politics-government/capitol-alert/article17275973.html

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 calendar days, as the statute requires.

Sincerely,

Ben Welsh

A no responsive documents response.

From: Ben Welsh

Following your instruction, I made a request with the California State Archives for the electronic records I'm seeking. I received a response which you can read in full at the link below.

According to that letter, "The California State Archives has not yet received transfer of electronic records from Governor Brown's administration." It says that the records are still in possession of your office. With that being the case, I consider my request to still be open and I ask you to reconsider your previous denial.
