To Whom It May Concern:

This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request the following records:

(1) A copy of any files the FBI has on, about or concerning George Meade Emory, Esq. (aka Meade Emory; February 26, 1931 - October 08, 2010), Social Security No. 535-26-6633. Proof of Death: http://death-records.mooseroots.com/l/169173318/Meade-Emory

(2) Any additional documentation referencing the non-profit Scientology organization that Mr. Emory has hired to setup and incorporate in Los Angeles, CA (circa 1982) known as the Church of Spiritual Technology.

Please do an all-inclusive search of the central records, cross-reference and ELSUR indices when identifying responsive documents for this request.

I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest due to the unusual circumstances of Meade Emory being a former attorney for the IRS hired by the Church of Scientology as consultant who seemingly helped secure their controversial tax exemption that is a widely known via court documents. E.g.:

Additionally, the requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.

In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.
