This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request the following records:
A copy of the contract and any follow up reports, requests for extensions, and contract addendums for a grant given to Bay Area Rapid Transit for the installation of wireless capabilities.
This grant was publicly noted here as a "20 year program" in 2009:

I have searched through common federal government grant databases and was unable to find mention of this grant, therefore I cannot provide a grant number or other identifying information, except that WiFi Rail appears to be the contractor performing the work under Bay Area Rapid Transit.
I also request communications between WiFi Rail and any offices of DHS that would have likely overseen the administration of the grant, as well as communications between Bay Area Rapid Transit and any offices of DHS that would have likely overseen the administration of the grant, generated between Jan. 1, 2009 and the date this request is processed.
I am a media requester, and this request is filed as part of my reporting process. I plan to use and analyze responsive documents as part of my coverage of technology and surveillance issues, as well as analyzing the effectiveness of government spending and grant programs.
I am a widely cited and published author on these issues, with my work either published by or reported on by news outlets including the Boston Globe, New York Times, Politico, the Washington Post, and hundreds of other outlets.
