Pursuant to the Colorado Open Records Act, I hereby request the following records:
Any and all available dog licensing and registration data for animals within this jurisdiction.
Please include all available segregable data, including but not limited to:
• the type of animal
• the breed of the pet
• the pet's date of birth
• the pet's name
• the owner's address or applicable zip code
• any other available notes
Also, I am requesting that the data be sent in Excel format.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 3 business days, as the statute requires.

Can you please clarify the time frame you are requesting this for? If you are requesting all data since licensing started, it will take longer than three days. If you are requesting this for 2017 only we can fulfill. We are unable to provide the owner’s address, but can provide the zip code. Please clarify the last bullet of any other notes.

Good morning Cynthia,
I wanted to let you know that I have already submitted the request for the data that you requested, but I also wanted to explain the fact that we currently use a third party vendor to handle the bulk of our licensing load. This means that we have all the information you requested, but I needed to reach out to our vendor and have them compile it for me to be able to share with you.
I cannot guarantee what their timeline looks like. I did place a priority request, but typically their turnaround time is closer to around a week. I wanted you to be aware of this as we move forward. Your request will be honored, but it will take a little more time. You will have it as soon as we do.
