Columbus State Community College Student Info (2022)

Attached are records responsive to your public records request for student directory information received by Columbus State Community College on January 18, 2022. You requested "An excel document containing phone numbers, university-affiliated emails, first and last names, and program of study/technology of all students currently enrolled in Columbus State Community College as of the Spring 2022 semester."

Generally, students' education records are protected from disclosure pursuant to the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (34 CFR 99.31). However, Columbus State Community College may provide information that the College has designated as directory information under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act. Columbus State Community College has designated the following categories of information about students as directory information:
* Name
* Address (home/present)
* Telephone Number (home)
* Program of Study/Technology
* Participation in officially recognized activities and sports
* Weight and height of members of athletic teams
* Enrollment status (less than half-time, half-time, part-time, full-time, over full-time, inclusive dates and semesters of enrollment)
* Degrees, certificates, transfer module and awards received (including Dean's List and other honors)
* Most recent previous educational agency or institution attended
* Student.cscc.edu email address for the purposes of electronic proxy and conducting studies on behalf of the college.

Therefore, in response to your public records request, the College is permitted to provide the following student directory information of Columbus State Community College students enrolled during the Spring 2022 semester:
* Name
* Telephone Number (home)
* Program of Study/Technology

The attached list does not include the students' email addresses as that is non-directory information in this case. Also omitted from the attached student directory information list are those students who have opted out of disclosing their directory information and those students who are in the College Credit Plus/dual enrollment program pursuant to FERPA, 20 U.S.C. 1232g(a)(5) and 34 C.F.R. 99.37; sections 149.43(A)(1)(v) and 3319.321(A) of the Ohio Revised Code; and College Policy.
