Dear Sam Biddle & DEPT MR 78234:

I am in receipt of your faxed to the Department of Public Safety
above-referenced request dated August 4, 2019, in which you request
contracts/MOUs/Invoices; records related to meetings or follow-up actions
with Blue Line Technology; all marketing materials unsolicited, requested,
or otherwise acquired from Knightscope, Inc.; any policy directives,
guidance documents, memoranda, training materials, or similar records
governing the use of Blue Line Technology, including the legal standard
that is required before using the technology, and emails sent to or
received by accounts belonging to Blue Line Technology (all accounts ending
in @bluelinetechnology.com).

I am unclear as to what specific records you are seeking. Please contact me
so that I can more fully understand and address your request.

It would be helpful to know the specific departments and sections you
believe may have records responsive to this request, the date range of
records requested, the type or use of the technology/relationship
referenced in your request, and the City employee name(s) or email
addresses for which you are requesting a search to be conducted.

A clear understanding of the records which you wish to receive may expedite
and save costs in fulfilling your request. Please contact my office to
