Bail Enforcement Complaint Forms

To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to Utah’s Government Records Access and Management Act (“GRAMA”), I hereby request the following records:

I request copies of all bail enforcement complaint forms submitted between the time of this filing and the year 2000. In the event these records/dates are not available for the entire time period covering this request, I request you supply the above information for the period covering the present back to as long as such records/information are available.

Given that this FOIA is submitted in my capacity as a journalist, I request that I be categorized as a media requester for the purpose of fees.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 business days, as the statute requires.

Thank you for your attention and response to my request. If possible, I would love to see a cost breakdown for the $49. I am a reporter working on a story about bail enforcement and am on a bit of a tight budget. In the interest of saving everyone involved some time and money spent on my request, I would like to narrow my focus and cut out any unnecessary charges. For reference, other state agencies have been able to eliminate or shrink costs by sending documents electronically (instead of copying and mailing each form). If there is someone in your office who would be able to speak with me about my request I would be more than happy to go into further detail. I can be reached at 908-458-2734.
