Pursuant to the Illinois Freedom of Information Act (5 ILCS 140/1 to 11), I hereby request the following records:
First amendment worksheets created between October 20th, 2014 to present (December 9th, 2015).
On the date of November 24th and into the early morning of November 25th, there was a march in front of the Chicago Police Station at 1718 S State St.
Therefore I am requesting a copy of the video surveillance conducted by CPD officers on top of the police station on November 24th. I am also requesting a copy of the video surveillance with all the original metadata in unredacted forms.
It is my understanding that Tech Lab maintains all the video surveillance equipment for CPD however I am not limiting my request to just Tech Lab.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes. Also be aware that this request is being made by the Lucy Parsons Labs, a registered non-profit in the State of Illinois.
In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available. However I understand that the video surveillance might be several hours long, in which case I would be willing to provide a USB drive for the data.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 5 business days, as the statute requires.

A quick question,
Why is the letter dated December 9th but seems to be named "Martinez, 15-7378 Extention Letter Jan 14". Why is this a discrepancy with the dates? Are you giving yourself another extension?

To date we have not received our responsive documents (the video files). At the moment we are in the process of getting documents from a separate CPD FOIA (FOIA 15-7066) and will be collecting those documents in person this week. Can a copy of these video files also be created for picking these up at the same time?
