From: Federal Law Enforcement Training Accreditation Board

Good morning,

I apologize for the delay in responding to your request. Your request was forwarded to the Accreditation Manager of the U.S. Army Military Police School. He asked that you that you seek the FOIA through the Army directly since they are required to track these requests. The FOIA person for USAMPS in Fort Leonard Wood, MO is Ms. Joyce Steven, USARMY USAG (US). Her email is Joyce.a.stevens.civ@mail.mil<mailto:Joyce.a.stevens.civ@mail.mil>.

Respectfully,

Hi,
I want to clarify the scope here. With this FOIA request, I am specifically looking for DHS records, not DOD records. I assumed it would be a conflict of interest for the accredited organization to be the records custodian of its own accreditation file, so I am requesting DHS records maintained by the FLETA Board about this course of instruction. Does that make sense?

From: Federal Law Enforcement Training Accreditation Board

Yes, that makes sense. I was originally directed to forward the request to USAMPS. I forwarded your latest email, along with your original request and follow-up, to our local FOIA office for tracking and approval.

Ms. Stevens,
I am withdrawing this request to the Army. This was a request for DHS records which FLETC mistakenly forwarded to you. I am still moving forward with FLETC, but please withdraw the Army piece of this.

Thanks.
