Pursuant to the Illinois Freedom of Information Act., I hereby request the following records:
Any and all records (including but not limited to hard-copy documents, drawings, photographs, memos, emails, receipts of purchase, word processor documents, PDF documents, PowerPoint files, image files etc.) regarding any and all wall-art installations in the Mount Prospect police headquarters created in the process of design, purchase, materials, labor, installation, completion, and communication.
Examples of wall-art installations include:
– A motto over a double door reading ”WE ARE ALL THAT STAND BETWEEN THE MONSTERS AND THE WEAK”.
– A motto over an overhead door “GO HUNT THE EVIL OTHERS PRETEND DOESN’T EXIST”.
– A mural with the caption “EVERY DAY YOU DON’T WORK OUT SOMEONE ELSE DOES” and showing a person dressed in orange.
– A mural depicting 2 officers, one with gun drawn, and a face-down person in front of a police car baring the motto “PROTECT AND SERVE”.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 5 business days, as the statute requires.
