Pursuant to the Illinois Freedom of Information Act., I hereby request the following records:

Complete FOIA logs for the following years:

-2017
-2018
-2019
-2020
-2021

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 5 business days, as the statute requires.

Via an email communication from Karen Agoranos, Freedom of Information Officer:

"Thank you for writing to the Village of Mount Prospect with your request for information pursuant to the Illinois Freedom of Information Act, 5 ILCS 140, et seq.
Pursuant to your request for FOIA logs for years 2017-2021, the Village does not have a system that retains FOIAs in this format. They are kept in electronic folders separated by responding departments, by year. We are currently exploring FOIA software that will retain records in this manner, but at this time no such log(s) exist. I can supply screen shots of the folders if you feel this will be useful to you."

We are withdrawing this request until the time Mt. Prospect modernizes their record-keeping system.
