To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to Montana's Constitution, Article II, ยง 9, I hereby request the following records:

Any and all applications, payment receipts, itineraries, travel tickets, and other records including a justification form, submitted by or for Cliff Larsen to the Montana Legislature for foreign travel, paid on Aug. 6, 2014, in the amount of $3,703.76. The payment is listed in "Montana's checkbook" at http://checkbook.mt.gov.

I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.

In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I would request your response within ten (10) business days.

Sincerely,

As per your request, please find attached Sen. Larsen's claim form for his travel to the Pacific Northwest Economic Region (PNWER) Annual Summit meeting . He is an appointed member to that interstate organization to which the Montana Legislature is a dues-paying member (see Title 5, chapter 11, part 7, MCA). There were several attendees from Montana from both the Legislative and Executive Branches. Montana will be hosting the PNWER Summit next summer in Big Sky and Sen. Larsen was instrumental in helping Montana host the Summit. Please provide this information to the public as well.
