To Whom It May Concern:
Pursuant to the Missouri Sunshine Law and the Missouri Public Records Law, I hereby request the following records:
Visitors Logs, i.e. documentation of registration of non-agency personnel and visitors into the agency's building and/or office area including but not limited to the date and time the visitor checked in and out, the visitor name, the reason for visit, and the agency contact name. Please feel free to limit your search to those records created between July 3, 2017 and August 22, 2017.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 3 business days, as the statute requires.
Sincerely,
Russel Neiss

Hi, to clarify -- I'm searching for records that I believe to be required to be collected and preserved for up to a year as per series 21539 of the Secretary of State's State Agency General Retention Schedule, visible here (p. 14): https://www.sos.mo.gov/CMSImages/RecordsManagement/schedules/GRS/Admin.pdf
Am I to understand your rejection to mean that the State AG's office is not collecting these records, or are you merely claiming that they are closed to the public?
If the latter, please list the specific exemption(s) upon which you rely for the denial, and if any portions of the requested records are closed, please separate the closed portions and provide me with the nonexempt material.
Thank you for your anticipated assistance.
