Your public record request has been submitted to the Missouri State Highway Patrol's Custodian of Records for processing.  In compliance with Chapter 610 of the Missouri Revised Statutes, this message serves as the department’s initial response within three business days. Public access and/or copies of the records you requested are not immediately available. The explanation of the cause for delay is that additional time is needed to research, and/or duplicate any records that are responsive to your request and are open pursuant to Chapter 610 of the Missouri Revised Statutes. Furthermore, in the event any information in the records is exempt from disclosure, additional time will be required to redact the information exempt from disclosure prior to providing public access and/or copies. For these reasons, the department anticipates a further response will be provided to you within approximately twenty to thirty business days. You will also be notified if there are any fees associated with producing such reports.
Please do not call to check the status of your request until 30 business days after your request was submitted.  If you wish to withdraw your request or need further clarification regarding your request, please call 573-526-6146 or 573-526-6167.
