Pursuant to the Montana Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:
A copy of any initial arrest report (or initial offense report) alleging or involving a violation of Mont. Code § 45-8-212, or in which the general nature of charges includes the words "defamation," "defamatory," "defamed," "libel," "libeled," "slander," or "slandered." This request is limited to reports generated on or after January 1, 2019.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 business days.

We are currently reviewing our records with the parameters of your request. There will be a fee of $26 for each report provided. At this time it is unknown how many reports will be provided, but it is believe to be less than 8 reports. The fee will need to be paid prior to us releasing the reports.

I was asked to contact you to let you know that the reports you requested are ready to send once we get payment from you. There are four reports, and the fee is $26.00 each for a total of $104.00. You may make the payment over the phone by calling 406-552-6303.
