Pursuant to the Minnesota Data Practices Act, I hereby request the following documents:
A log of public records requests submitted to the Department of Natural Resources that lists the date of request, the requester's name, the requester's organizational affiliation, a description of the request and the date the request was filled. Ideally I would like this information for the period from 2004 to the present.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, and is made in the process of academic research and not for commercial usage.
In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources has received your request for information under the Minnesota Government Data Practices Act.
In response, see the attached screenshot of our request log. We began logging requests into the application in 2011. Please note that in accordance with our retention schedule, we have no data prior to 2011 to provide. The data provided does not include all of the information you are requesting, but it's what we could provide without costs.
If you would like detailed information about each request, as we have collected it for our purposes, our IT staff would need to dump the data and attachments into a CSV file. (Attachments can include a copy of the request, data provided, copy costs, etc.) IT has estimated that it would take them approximately 4-6 hours at $44.43-$55.96 to download the application. We would require prepayment of $100 to begin the process. Also see our copy costs attached.
Please let me know if what has been provided will satisfy your request. Or, if you would like to send us prepayment and have our IT download the application. You can make your check payable to the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources and send it to:
