In response to your data request, it’s a little unclear what you seek. When you ask for “data on all of the minorities in our public schools as well as those that are home schooled. Then I would like the grade point averages of the two to compare them,” do you mean that you want a count of the numbers of minority children served in Minnesota public schools and a count of minority children being home schooled? If that is not what you’re looking for, please provide additional information so that we can better understand your request and help you get the information you seek. The Minnesota Department of Education collects only limited information about homeschooled students. After you respond clarifying or confirming your request, I can provide a better answer about whether we will be able to provide you the information you seek about homeschooled students.

Note that, with regard to grade point averages, the Minnesota Department of Education does not collect that information about students, so we cannot provide any information related to that part of your request. We collect information about achievement and proficiency based on how students perform on our statewide achievement test, the Minnesota Comprehensive Assessment (MCA).
