MN AG private prison legality decisions

To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the Minnesota Data Practices Act, I hereby request the following documents:

All opinions, decisions, directives, rules, procedures, court decisions, and relevant related materials regarding the legality and supervisory necessities and allowances of the following matters:

• privately-owned correctional facilities
• extent of law enforcement authority endowed upon officers of privately-owned and/or operated correctional facilities
• necessary qualifications for correctional officers at institutions both public and private
• transportation of federal or other out-of-state into the state of Minnesota
• extent of Minnesota law over inmates brought in-state
• extent of federal or out-of-state law over inmates brought into the state

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
