Pursuant to the Minnesota Data Practices Act, I hereby request the following documents:
- A full copy of any and all contracts and written agreements between the University of Minnesota and Storbeck/Pimentel & Associates.
- Any and all reports, memoranda, or other documents produced for the University of Minnesota by Storbeck/Pimentel & Associates.
- And and all email correspondence or other communications between representatives of the University of Minnesota and Storbeck/Pimentel & Associates containing the terms "dean of students" and/or "vice provost for student affairs."
I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.
In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I would request your response within ten (10) business days.

Mr. Skelding:
I have attached copies of the contracts that the University of Minnesota
has with Storbeck Pimentel.
You also requested correspondence, reports and other materials from the
University relating to Storbeck/Pimental. The Minnesota Government Data
Practices Act, section 13.04, subdivision 3, states that: “If a person
requests copies or electronic transmittal of the data to the person, the
responsible authority may require the requesting person to pay the actual
costs of searching for and retrieving government data, and for making,
certifying, compiling, and electronically transmitting the copies of the
data….” It is estimated that it will take University staff 2.5 hours at
$67.26/hour for a total of $168.15.
If you would like us to continue to process this request, please send a
check, made out to the University of Minnesota, for $168.15. Once payment
is received, the information will be gathered and sent to you.
